Yellowstone 2017

The highlight of our 2017 backcountry trip was the Grizzlies. We saw six total. The first two were 500 to 600 yards away, but we watched them for a bit with my 600mm zoom lens. The third is pictured below. This one got within about 75 yards of our food prep area. The final three were a mom and two cubs that got about 50 yards from our food prep area. Pictures of all will be included in my daily summaries.

 

Yellowstone 2016

One of the highlights of our 2016 trip was getting to the Thorofare Ranger Station. This is the most remote building in the lower 48 states. It is 32 miles to the nearest road.
